Braised Sea Cucumber with Fish Maw

Ingredients :
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 6 pips garlic, skinned
  • 5 slices ginger
  • 6 black mushrooms, soaked and cut into half
  • 200g sea cucumber, cut into pieces
  • 30g fish maw, soaked
  • 10 slices carrot
  • 1/2 can baby abalone
Seasoning :
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soya sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 500ml water
Method :
  • Heat up oil in multi cooker over high heat, saute garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add in mushrooms and stir fry until aromatic.
  • Add in sea cucumber, seasoning and bring to boil. Cover with lid and simmer at medium to low heat for 20 minutes. Add fish maw, carrot and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Before dishing up, add in baby abalones and stir fry until well mixed.
